| The Home Depot | Home Depot has not published holiday extensions in past years; the 90-day window applies year round. Holiday decor is usually limited to 30 days unused. |
| Lowe's | Lowe's has not published holiday extensions in past years; the 90-day window applies year round and seasonal items are not accepted after the holiday. |
| Menards | No holiday extension in past years; 90 days, with seasonal goods generally not accepted after the holiday. |

| ALDI | No holiday policy found in any year. The Twice as Nice Guarantee covers ALDI-brand food; non-food items are generally returnable for about 90 days. |
| Trader Joe's | Trader Joe's publishes no time limit and accepts most returns at store discretion, so no holiday policy exists. |
| Wayfair | Wayfair's policy page could not be read by machine when checked. Large appliances are limited to 48 hours; return shipping is deducted unless the item arrived damaged. |
| DICK'S Sporting Goods | No holiday extension in past years; 90 days with receipt, store credit at the lowest selling price without one. |
| Dollar General | 30 days with receipt; seasonal goods are often final sale after the holiday. No verified holiday extension. |
| Dollar Tree | In-store exchanges and refunds with a receipt, no stated window; seasonal items must be exchanged before the holiday; online orders are final sale. No holiday policy exists. |
